About the event
A ritual to celebrate the Harvest accompanied by song and activities both new and traditional.
This is an event for our Aweneth Community, which will take place outdoors in a public space in Somerset, England, with members of the band.
Lughnasadh (pronounced ‘Lew-nass-ah’) is the Celtic ‘First Harvest’, one of the eight festivals which make up the Wheel of the Year.
As the year has marked its brightest point at Summer Solstice we now look towards darker times and ready ourselves for winter, storing up the harvest and drinking in the sun’s power to carry us through. Our event will be a closing ceremony for the festival, since the Celts would have marked their days from sunset to sunset.
To attend, you will need to have been invited by one of the band or the attendees if you are not already a member of the Aweneth group.
